The Safeprotex Silicone-Coated High-Silica EV Fire Blanket is designed to protect against electric vehicle (EV) battery fires. The silicone-coated high-silica EV fire blanket withstands continuous temperatures from 800°C to 1000°C (1472°F to 1832°F) and can endure short-term bursts exceeding 1000°C (1832°F). The high-silica EV fire blanket effectively isolates fire sources within 1–2 minutes. The blanket’s low thermal conductivity (0.03 W/m·K) and high thermal resistance (2.5 K·m²/W) ensure minimal heat transfer, enhancing operational safety.
The silicone-coated high-silica EV fire blanket is specifically designed to combat thermal runaway in lithium-ion battery fires. The high-silica EV fire blanket resists sustained temperatures above 900°C (1652°F) for 10–20 minutes, controlling intense heat and rapidly spreading flames. The high-silica material used in the blanket provides superior tear resistance, with a tensile strength of 4000–5000 N/mm².
The silicone coating of the high-silica EV fire blanket enhances performance by making the blanket waterproof, oil-resistant, and corrosion-resistant, ensuring long-lasting protection in harsh environments.
The silicone-coated high-silica EV fire blanket meets NFPA 70E for electrical safety and UL 94 for fire safety, ensuring compliance with industry standards for electric vehicle (EV) and lithium-ion battery applications.
