The silicone layer withstands up to 500°F (260°C), while the silica welding fabric handles 1000°C (1832°F) for long-term use, with a softening point of 1700°C (3092°F). The silicone coating enhances silica welding fabric’s performance for extreme environments by providing thermal protection under continuous 1000°C and momentary 1200°C, resisting water, oil, and chemicals for use in humid or chemical-rich settings, and improving mechanical properties such as abrasion resistance, tear resistance, and flexibility to extend product lifespan. Silicone coated high silica welding blanket also offers UV and aging protection to prevent brittleness and discoloration in outdoor conditions, while its flame-retardant properties form a carbonized layer to suppress flame spread and protect the base fabric. The smooth surface of the silicone coating is easy to clean and allows for precise cutting and customization, making it suitable for diverse industrial applications. Certified to FM Global and NFPA-701 standards, it provides reliable safety and exceptional performance in welding, fire protection, and chemical resistance.
