The Safeprotex Vermiculite-Coated High Silica Welding Blanket is made from high silica fabric with a vermiculite coating that enhances durability and performance in extreme industrial environments. The vermiculite layer, reinforced with organic adhesion promoters, minimizes peeling and abrasion, improves moisture resistance, and effectively disperses heat across the material surface. This design provides exceptional protection against thermal shock, molten metal splashes, and high temperatures. The vermiculite coating can withstand fixed working temperatures of 810°C (1490°F) and momentary peaks up to 1090°C (1994°F), while the high silica base fabric endures long-term use at 1000°C (1832°F) with a softening point of 1700°C (3092°F). Certified to NFPA 701, FM 4950, and UL 94 V0 standards, this welding blanket ensures compliance with international fire safety regulations.
