Constructed from a durable fiberglass substrate and coated with high-grade silicone rubber, silicone coated welding blankets serve as effective thermal barriers, spark shields, and equipment covers for medium to heavy-duty welding operations.

Silicone coated blankets withstand intermittent temperatures up to 1022°F (550°C), extinguish sparks in ≤1.5 seconds, and provide zero flame penetration in accordance with ASTM D4357 standards.

Standard thicknesses and sizes are available, with custom options provided upon request. All products comply with Mil-Y-1140C and are certified to NFPA 701 and UNE EN 1869:2021 specifications.

  • High Temperature Resistance: Withstands intermittent heat up to 1022°F (550°C); sparks self-extinguish within 1.5 seconds per ASTM D4357.

  • Mechanical Strength: Tear strength of 75/50 lbs/in (13.1 / 8.8 kN/m) and tensile strength of 500/400 lbs/in (87.5 / 70.0 kN/m) (warp/weft).

  • Material Composition: Silicone-coated satin fiberglass fabric, UL 94 V-0 rated; weight: 17 oz/yd² (576 g/m²), thickness: 17 mils (0.43 mm).

  • Construction Details: Sewn with high-temperature-resistant thread; No. 2 brass grommets spaced every 24 inches (610 mm) to 36 inches (910 mm) along edges. Available with trimming tolerances of 2–4 inches (50–100 mm) for size adjustments.

  • Certifications: Compliant with NFPA 701 and UNE EN 1869:2021 flame retardancy standards.

  • Shelf Life: Up to 5 years when stored in a cool, dry, and shaded environment.

  • Warranty: 12-month limited product warranty under normal usage conditions.
